We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate Freelance News Researcher to provide accurate and up-to-date news related to the gaming industry, both in Indonesia and globally. You will play a key role in sourcing trending topics, news, and updates—especially those relevant to the gaming community and content creators.
Your main tasks will include:
- Researching and compiling current, reliable news in the gaming industry from both local (Indonesian) and international sources.
- Writing clear, engaging summaries or scripts for use in video content and social media (basic copywriting required).
- Collaborating with our team to align tone and style with the brand’s voice.
- Staying on top of game trends, industry updates, and viral moments in gaming communities.
This is a freelance/remote position with flexible working hours, but requires consistency and timely delivery of content.
Requirements
- Strong interest and knowledge in the gaming industry (local and international).
- Proven experience in content research, journalism, or copywriting.
- Excellent English writing skills; ability to write clear and engaging summaries or scripts.
- Able to identify credible sources and verify information.
- Familiar with gaming news outlets, forums (e.g. Reddit, ResetEra), social media trends, and developer channels.
- Understanding of what appeals to content creators and gaming audiences.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
