Job Description
- Migrate existing Looker Studio assets to Looker Studio Pro, ensuring centralized governance and consistent access control.
- Conduct user access reviews, enforce least-privilege policies, and implement restrictions on sharing and permission changes.
- Standardize Looker Studio assets, including naming conventions, service account data sources, and manual publishing workflows.
- Take ownership of Looker Studio reports and dashboards to prevent data loss from decentralized ownership.
- Develop and maintain log, source, DWH, and data mart tables in ClickHouse, following best practices for modeling and performance.
- Orchestrate data pipelines using Airflow (Cloud Composer), Pub/Sub, and Dataflow, ensuring reliability, monitoring, and SLAs.
- Optimize SQL queries, materialized views, and data models for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Migrate dashboards from Metabase/BigQuery to Apache Superset/ClickHouse, including dataset creation, dashboard setup, and Metabase deprecation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security, compliance, and usability in BI platforms (Looker Studio, Superset).
- Provide regular updates, documentation, and status tracking to ensure migration progress, auditability, and alignment with project timelines.
Requirements
Freelance Period: 3 Month with 5-7 Working Hours, remote working
- 2+ years hands-on in data engineering with strong DWH/DM modeling (wide table, star/snowflake, SCD, partitioning/sort keys, aggregates).
- Advanced SQL and query/database performance tuning (read query plans, optimize joins/aggregations, prune scans).
- Proficient in Python or Go for data tooling/pipelines (testing, packaging, linting).
- Experience orchestrating pipelines with Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer); understands DAG design, retries, SLAs.
- Exposure to streaming/batch ingestion; comfortable with Pub/Sub and Dataflow (Beam) or equivalents.
- BI familiarity: publishing datasets & metrics in Apache Superset (dimensions/metrics, caching, dashboard hardening).
- Git practices with GitHub (PRs/code review/branching) and CI/CD basics with Jenkins (build/test/deploy pipelines).
