Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations
- Manage daily accounting activities including AP, AR, and general ledger entries
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- Monitor cash flow and maintain liquidity planning support
2. Financial Reporting & MIS
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards
- Support preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Track budgets vs actuals and highlight key variances
- Maintain financial data integrity across systems
3. Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory filings, and audits
- Assist in GST/VAT filings and other regulatory requirements (depending on geography)
- Maintain internal controls and documentation for audit readiness
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Work with business teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions
- Track financial performance against budgets
5. Business Partnering
- Work closely with operations and field teams to track costs (inputs, logistics, labor)
- Analyze unit economics of farm operations / supply chain activities
- Help improve cost efficiency and financial discipline in ground operations
6. Systems & Process Improvement
- Support implementation and optimization of accounting/ERP systems
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
- Drive automation in repetitive finance tasks where possible
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CA / CPA / ACCA (completed or in progress) is a plus
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Experience in startups, agritech, supply chain, or FMCG is preferred
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel and financial tools/ERP systems
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Good communication skills for cross-team collaboration
