About The Role
The Accounting and Tax Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and tax compliance activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and adherence to tax regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- General Accounting: Assist in recording manual journal entries, including depreciation and other adjustments. Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Balance Sheet Accounts Review: Help perform inventory reconciliations and support AR and AP aging analysis and reconciliation efforts.
- Taxation: Support the review and preparation of tax-related documentation. Work with external tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and maintain proper tax documentation.
- Financial Statements and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and information required during internal or external audits.
- System, Policy, and Procedure Compliance: Adhere to existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and tax processes, and contribute to their improvement when applicable.
- ERP Data Entry and Accuracy:Ensure accurate data input and assist in maintaining system integrity within ERP platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or audit (experience from an accounting firm is a plus).
- Basic understanding of financial reporting standards and tax compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn and grow.
