Job Description
- Calculate the cost of raw materials, trims, labor, and overhead for fashion products
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing for materials and finished products.
- Set and manage budgets for collections.
- Work closely with the merchandising, design, and production teams to align product costs with pricing strategies.
- Prepare detailed cost reports for management, highlighting variances and providing actionable insights.
- Generate costing summaries for each collection to help with financial decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in fashion costing, merchandising, or production.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost analysis and budgeting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and costing software.
- Knowledge of fashion industry trends and material cost fluctuations.
