Job Description
- Develop and implement sales strategies targeting key export markets to increase revenue and expand market reach.
- Identify and engage prospective clients, distributors, and partners in relevant export regions.
- Conduct market research to understand demand trends, pricing strategies, and customer preferences for fresh produce.
- Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring successful product delivery and client satisfaction.
- Work closely with internal teams and third-party logistics providers to facilitate efficient shipment flow, upholding quality standards and meeting Incoterms agreements from the origin point to the customer’s receiving point.
- Actively manage accounts receivable to secure prompt payment from clients, supporting financial stability.
- Address customer inquiries and provide prompt resolutions for any issues regarding product quality, logistics, or pricing.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their evolving needs, gather feedback, and recommend appropriate product solutions.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics and market feedback to support continuous improvement and business growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years proven experience, preferably in food, agriculture, or fresh produce industry, global trader, cross-border, key account management, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Management or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of the Chinese market, with experience in export sales, business development, or trade
- Strong network of contacts in Chinese wholesale, retail, food manufacturing or distribution
- Exceptional Implementation Skills with a High Attention to Detail
- Skilled in analyzing sales metrics and market data to draw insights and make informed business decisions.
- Proactively identifies emerging market trends and adapts strategies to stay ahead of competitors.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with the agricultural export industry, particularly in perishable goods, is advantageous.
