Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage engineering operations in our personal care manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement to support business growth and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Engineering team, covering maintenance, utilities, and project engineering within the manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Develop and execute preventive & predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Lead CAPEX projects, including new equipment installation, line improvement, automation, and facility expansion.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, R&D, EHS, and Supply Chain teams to support operational targets.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards, GMP, ISO, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, OEE improvement, cost optimization).
  • Manage engineering budget, contractors, vendors, and spare parts strategy.
  • Coach and develop team members to build strong technical and leadership capabilities.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
  • 8–12 years of experience in engineering/maintenance within FMCG or Personal Care manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial or people leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, utilities systems, automation, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience handling engineering projects and CAPEX management.
  • Solid knowledge of GMP, EHS, ISO standards, and factory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to be based on-site in Salatiga.
