Deputy Head of Warehouse

Job Description :

1. Operational Support:                                           

·       Assist in the development and implementation of warehouse policies, procedures, and operational strategies.

·       Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. 

·       Ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.                                         

2. Team Management:                                            

·       Supervise and support warehouse staff, including providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.                                           

·       Assist in scheduling and coordinating staff shifts to meet operational needs.                       

·       Foster a positive and productive work environment.                                                 

3. Inventory Management:                                                    

·       Assist in monitoring inventory levels and managing stores stock replenishment processes.          

·       Conduct inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.                                                 

·       Support inventory control initiatives and ensure accuracy in stock records.                                                        

4. Process Improvement:                                                       

·       Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.                                                       

·       Assist in implementing new systems or technologies to optimize warehouse operation

·       Monitor and evaluate warehouse performance metrics.                                          

5. Reporting and Documentation:                                                      

·       Prepare and assist in generating reports on warehouse operations, inventory status, and performance metrics.                                                 

·       Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and transactions.                   

·       Assist in analyzing data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.                                             

6. Budget and Resource Management:                                             

·       Support the development and management of the warehouse budget, including monitoring expenses related to staffing, equipment, transport and supplies.                                                      

·       Assist in managing warehouse resources and ensuring cost-effective operations.                                                

7. Collaboration:                                                       

·       Collaborate with other departments (e.g., RTM, Import, Logistic, BD and Marketing) to ensure smooth workflow and address any operational issues.                                                   

·       Act as a liaison between the warehouse and other business units.
