Do you embrace your love and passion for the following activities?
- Conduct a thorough analysis of current database performance, requirements, and security measures across the organization to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and develop database structures that align with application requirements and establish a data recovery plan to ensure database reliability.
- Establish and maintain database configurations, processes, and procedures, documenting them to ensure good governance and security.
- Collaborate with IT streamline teams and relevant stakeholders to implement database structures and enhance application database performance.
- Foster positive relationships and collaboration with internal and external parties to achieve operational excellence in database management.
- Perform regular database performance tuning, optimization, and data security measures, including database change management and data backup.
- Identify and address any constraints or issues experienced by internal parties related to the database to ensure smooth operations.
- Generate progress reports and ad-hoc reports on database development for evaluation purposes.
- Undertake ad-hoc activities related to database management, security, and other relevant areas to support application development.
Requirements
Does it match your criteria?
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Have accumulated 3-4 years of experience in IT database administration.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Database Architecture.
- Proficient in managing Relational Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Familiar with Non-Relational Databases including ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Apache, and Cassandra.
- Skilled in both Structured Query Language (SQL) and Programming Languages like Python and PowerShell for effective database management.
