Job Description
- Designing and implementing data pipelines to move data from various sources to target systems, including extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data.
- Connecting diverse data sources and making data available for analysis and other applications.
- Ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and reliable by removing errors, handling missing data, and standardizing data values.
- Developing data models relevant to the business and ensuring data is structured in a way that supports efficient analysis.
- Converting raw data into formats usable by data scientists, data-centric applications, and other data consumers.
- Troubleshooting data pipeline issues, fixing production problems, and optimizing data workflows.
- Monitoring data pipelines and systems for performance and health, and performing maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation.
- Utilizing programming languages like Python, SQL, and Java to build data pipelines and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets, ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Pentaho, SSIS, informatica etc.)
- Ability to work independently or team
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Sever, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
