The Opportunity:
As a Data Engineer you will be part of our growing Data Team. You will help the Data Team build a Data Warehouse that can cater to batch and streaming data, Data Products that provide useful information to build efficient data metrics & dashboards which will be used to make smarter business decisions to support business growth. You will be expected to be agile, hands-on and willing to hit the ground with a growth mindset. You'll get a huge room of growth and opportunity to show your skills as you will help create world-class digital products.
What You Will Do:
- You will be suggesting and implementing improvements to our existing data pipeline. Day-to-day work includes understanding the requirement of the stakeholder and assisting stakeholder in beginning the dataset into a data warehouse in the shape for stakeholder use for dashboard building.
- Build a data processing pipeline for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading, from a wide variety of data sources.
- Perform data exploration on unstructured and structured data.
- Communicate with various functions about their data needs and ensure our data warehouse is ready to support them.
- Monitor data platform performance and involved in performance tuning when an anomaly is detected.
Requirements
What We Need:
- Experience in both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with various data transformations and data ingestion tools.
- Experience in writing clear, well-structured and concise documentation that promotes data discoverability.
- A degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or other related technical disciplines.
- Experience in working in Agile/Scrum development is a plus.
- Fluency in SQL, Python/Java/R or equivalent
