Role Overview:

The Consumer and Marketing Analyst will be responsible for uncovering actionable consumer insights and market intelligence to drive strategic decisions across marketing, product development, and sales teams. This role will involve conducting research, analyzing diverse datasets, and delivering strategic recommendations that contribute directly to business growth and brand success.

Job Responsibilities:

Market Research & Consumer Insights

  • Conduct primary and secondary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, competitive analysis).
  • Analyze consumer behavior, preferences, trends, and needs.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets from different sources (sales data, CRM, social media, etc.).
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.

Strategic Recommendations

  • Provide insights to inform marketing strategies, product development, branding, and communication.
  • Identify market opportunities, risks, and customer segments.
  • Assist in campaign performance evaluations (ROI analysis, customer feedback, brand tracking).

Collaboration with Teams

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, sales (online & offline), and related teams.
  • Present insights clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Support go-to-market strategies with consumer-based evidence.

Vendor & Tool Management

  • Manage relationships with research vendors and agencies if needed.
  • Recommend and implement research tools, survey platforms, or analytics software.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on new research methodologies, data analytics trends, and consumer behavior shifts.
  • Propose new research initiatives to fill knowledge gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in consumer insights, market research, data analytics, or marketing strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with research tools such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital analytics, and social media listening tools is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Strong business acumen and passion for understanding consumer behavior and market dynamics.
