The Jakarta Post is currently looking for a Copy Editor - Checkdesk.
Responsibilities:
Editing and proofreading of English-language copy for The Jakarta Post and related publications for grammar, style, syntax, and accuracy.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be first-language English speakers with an excellent grasp of written English.
- Has a university graduate in any major and experience of a min. 1 year of proofreading English copy.
- A good knowledge and familiarity with Indonesian culture and society are desirable for the position.
- Has a keen interest in journalism and has experience proofreading editorial pieces.
- Advanced skills in the relevant software needed (MS Office, Excel, communication technology, etc).
