Job Description

Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analyzing the business needs of clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems and propose solutions. Within the systems development life cycle, the BA performs a liaison function between the business side of an application to be developed and the IT solutions to be proposed.

Assist on analysis by undertaking information gathering and by eliciting the details of user requirements in discussion with user

Effectively defining and documenting business processes :

  1. Awareness of end-to-end process across areas
  2. Understand the top level business process definition - share holders of the process.
  3. Clear scope definition of the business process
  4. Breaking down (decompose) processes to the detail steps within a process
  5. Records the necessary: reports - forms requirement
  6. Identifying testing scenarios - acceptance criteria

Clear gap identification between the business processes and the available solution :

  1. Impact analysis to the business process changes
  2. When needed, introduce new business processes and prepare the necessary change management initiatives (training requirements - communication to share holders to the impacted process).
  3. When system change needed: clearly defining the modification needed for the technical team to follow up

Identification of business issues :

  1. Understanding and clearly defining the issue as indicated by business
  2. Impact analysis of the issue caused: scope of issue - importance - prioritizing
  3. Defining technical area involved - specifying areas within the application that causing the issue
  4. Highlight the potential solution for issue resolution
  5. Write functional specification document for development team to follow up.
  6. Defining and documenting testing scenarios and acceptance criteria
  7. Monitoring on the applied fixes in a defined period.
  8. Provide possible solutions
  9. Ensure the deliverable met the requirement and solve business issues

Requirements

  1. Education : minimum S1 / Bachelor Degree
  2. Fresh graduate - 5 years working experience
  3. Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships and influence cross-functional teams for project success
  4. Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies
  5. Preferred having experience on process design, project cost-benefit analysis and system implementation
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
