Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Ensure the hotel achieves its budgeted occupancy and revenue through driving room and catering sales.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Sales Strategy and Planning:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the golf course and restaurant to meet revenue targets.
2. Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
3. Create annual sales plans and budgets in collaboration with the General Manager.
Revenue Generation:
1. Drive revenue growth through membership sales, event bookings, and dining experiences.
Identify and target potential corporate and group clients for events and tournaments.
2. Develop promotional packages and special offers to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Client Relationship Management:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate partners, event planners, and individual members.
2. Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.
3. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle any issues or complaints promptly.
Team Management:
1. Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve their individual and team targets.
2. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
3. Monitor performance, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed.
Marketing and Promotion:
1. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
2. Utilize social media, email marketing, and other digital platforms to reach potential customers.
3. Represent the golf course and restaurant at industry events and trade shows.
Reporting and Analysis:
1. Track sales performance and provide regular reports to the General Manager and executive team.
2. Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
3. Adjust sales strategies based on performance metrics and market feedback.
Operational Collaboration:
1. Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of events and dining experiences.
2. Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent Hotel Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on golf courses, resorts (previous golf / leisure experience is preferred but not essential).
- Sales & Catering software
- Strong communications skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Self-motivated
- Strong contacts within the market
- Team player and able to train and mentor team member
- Ability to create excellent working relationships with all levels within the hotel
- Ability to create action plan for the assigned industry and markets
- Ability to travel
- Result driven, energetic, and focused
- English language skills (written and spoken) would be advantageous
- Customer-focused and service-oriented
- Results-driven with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
