Job Description
Indonesian roads are unlike anywhere else. With motorcycles making up over 80% of traffic, combined with challenging lighting, unpredictable weather, and varied camera placements, standard benchmark datasets simply don't cut it. As our AI Data Engineer (Vision AI), you won't just be processing data; you'll be building the foundation that our entire AI model depends on. Practical judgment in real-world field conditions matters here just as much as technical skill.

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute local traffic video data collection from field sites across Indonesia
- Define labeling standards and annotation guidelines for traffic anomaly events, including wrong-way driving, sudden stops, fallen objects, and accidents
- Manage end-to-end annotation workflows with rigorous, step-by-step quality review
- Maintain training dataset versioning while monitoring class balance and duplication issues
- Evaluate AI object detection results both qualitatively and quantitatively; classify false positives and false negatives
- Report quality review findings and data improvement needs to the development team
- Own the full data lifecycle: collection → preprocessing → annotation → review → deliver
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in video/image data collection and preprocessing
- Experience creating labeling guidelines and conducting annotation quality reviews, with familiarity with platforms such as CVAT, Label Studio, or Roboflow being a plus
- Solid understanding of object detection metrics (mAP, Precision/Recall, F1-score) and the ability to interpret model results
- Ability to document and report data collection status and quality outcomes in a clear, organized manner
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Prior exposure to traffic, road, or CCTV video datasets, particularly in Indonesia's motorcycle-dominant mixed traffic environment, is an advantage
- Experience managing outsourced annotation teams or crowdsourcing workflows is a plus
- Ability to handle non-standard video conditions — low resolution, nighttime, backlit, or rain/haze environments, is preferred
- Basic Python scripting skills for data aggregation and statistical analysis are a bonus
