Job Description
- Coordinate daily operations of 3PL fleet providers to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods.
- Oversee vehicle allocation, route planning, and scheduling to optimize fleet utilization and efficiency.
- Monitor vehicle availability and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with safety standards.
- Resolve operational issues such as delivery delays, route deviations, and vehicle breakdowns.
- Act as the main point of contact for 3PL providers, ensuring clear communication of operational requirements.
- Monitor 3PL performance against SLAs, including delivery accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure 3PL providers comply with company policies, local regulations, and transportation safety standards.
- Monitor fleet activities to ensure adherence to environmental and traffic laws.
- Investigate and report any incidents or accidents involving 3PL vehicles and drivers.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics such as delivery times, fuel consumption, fleet utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor fleet-related costs, including fuel, maintenance, and 3PL service charges, to ensure alignment with budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in logistics or fleet management, preferably with experience managing 3PL providers.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet tracking tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of fleet operations, route optimization, and cost management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and logistics software.
- Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
