Job Description
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Implement robust and scalable solutions using Google Cloud services.
- Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend services with web and mobile applications.
- Design and optimize database structures using MongoDB to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Implement security measures and data protection strategies to safeguard sensitive information.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality and reliable software.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions with team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in backend development technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one backend framework, preferably NestJS.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Firestore, etc.
- Strong understanding of database design and optimization principles, with experience in MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and issue tracking (e.g., ClickUp).
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Malay is a plus.
