Job Description
Client Collaboration & Design Leadership: Lead initial client consultations to understand their unique lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and project goals. Develop and present innovative design concepts that balance client desires with architectural feasibility. This includes creating detailed sketches, 3D models, and comprehensive presentations to articulate the design vision.
Project Management & Coordination: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring it stays on schedule and within the established budget. Coordinate and manage a multidisciplinary team of consultants, including interior designers, landscape architects, structural engineers, and contractors. Ensure seamless communication and integration of all project elements.
Technical Design & Documentation: Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using professional software like AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. These documents must be precise and comprehensive to guide the construction process and meet all building codes and regulations.
Material Selection & Quality Control: Research, select, and specify premium, high-quality materials and finishes (e.g., rare marble, bespoke metals, custom millwork) that align with the luxury aesthetic. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure that all work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and design integrity.
Regulatory & Code Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction plans adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards. Navigate complex permitting processes and act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies.
Requirements
Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
Experience: Proven experience for 5-7 years in designing and managing high-end, bespoke residential or commercial projects, with a strong portfolio showcasing a history of successful, luxury designs.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino), as well as project management and presentation tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite).
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for creating designs that are not only visually stunning but also technically flawless.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present designs to clients, negotiate with contractors, and lead project teams.
Problem-Solving: The ability to anticipate and resolve complex design and construction challenges in a creative and efficient manner.
Business Acumen: A strong understanding of project finances, contracts, and the business side of architectural practice.
